This week Bibi completed the previous meeting's meeting minutes and updated the website with that information. She continued to do research on similar products to the robot arm idea as well as limitations and potential applications. The main goal was to get all of that information together and update the website with it. The project was given the acronym ViBRA which stands for Vision Based Robotic Arm, this acronym will be used throughout the website and project report.

The similar ideas that were found, were the Industrial Robotic Arm, Hydraulic Robotic Arm, and the Inmoov platform.

HYDRAULIC ROBOTIC ARM A robotic arm that is hydraulically operated and controlled by syringes filled with fluid. It consists of various parts connected to each other in a pre-designed manner which are guided in a constrained way to obtain the required output.

INMOOV

The first open-source 3D printed life-sized robot. On the webpage, many creators can get together and share ideas and struggles when attempting to build a life-size robot. This webpage has assisted in projects such as Bionico, E-Nable, and many others.

INDUSTRIAL ROBOTIC ARM

Industrial robotic arms are used in factories to automate the execution of repetitive tasks, such as applying paint to equipment or parts; in warehouses to select or sort goods from distribution conveyors to fulfill consumer orders, or in a farm to pick and place ripe fruits onto storage trays.
