New ideas were presented for discussion in this weeks group meeting: Vision Controlled Robotic Arm and Gesture Controlled Thermostat. The thermostat idea was dismissed due to the lack of application/motivation and convenience. The robotic arm idea, which was of high interest for both group members peaked the interest of Professor Ejaz and became the idea with most potential.
The group was tasked with coming up with a concrete application, environment, and motivation for the idea which also completing research on similar ideas/products. With this idea being the one with most potential, the group was also tasked with coming to the next meeting with a drawing of what the project is expected to resemble, the functions it will perform, and engineering requirements.
